2. Collection and Storage of Personal Data and Type and Purpose of Their Use

When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our website’s server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Website from which access is made (referrer URL)
  • Browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer as well as the name of your access provider

The mentioned data is processed by us for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection to the website
  • Ensuring a comfortable use of our website
  • Evaluating system security and stability
  • Other administrative purposes

The legal basis for data processing is Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes listed above for data collection. Under no circumstances do we use the collected data to draw conclusions about your identity.

3. Disclosure of Data

Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties for purposes other than those listed below.

We only share your personal data with third parties if:

  • You have given your explicit consent pursuant to Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
  • The disclosure is necessary pursuant to Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in not disclosing your data.
  • There is a legal obligation for disclosure pursuant to Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. c GDPR.
  • It is legally permissible and necessary for processing contractual relationships with you pursuant to Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR.

4. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any harm to your device, nor do they contain viruses, Trojans, or other malicious software.

Information related to the specific device used is stored in the cookie. However, this does not mean that we directly gain knowledge of your identity.

The use of cookies serves, on the one hand, to make the use of our services more convenient for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site.

Additionally, we use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness, which are stored on your device for a specific period. If you visit our site again to use our services, it will automatically recognize that you have already been with us and remember your entries and settings so that you do not have to enter them again.

Furthermore, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offering for you (see Section 5). These cookies allow us to automatically recognize that you have already visited our site when you return. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period.

The data processed by cookies is necessary for the aforementioned purposes to protect our legitimate interests as well as those of third parties pursuant to Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer, or a message always appears before a new cookie is created. The complete deactivation of cookies may, however, mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.

5. Rights of Data Subjects

You have the right to:

  • Request information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Article 15 GDPR. In particular, you may request information on the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to correction, deletion, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, as well as the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and, where applicable, meaningful information on its details.
  • Request the immediate correction of incorrect or completion of your personal data stored with us in accordance with Article 16 GDPR.
  • Request the deletion of your personal data stored with us pursuant to Article 17 GDPR, unless processing is necessary for exercising the right to freedom of expression and information, for fulfilling a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or for asserting, exercising, or defending legal claims.
